Who this covers
This website, bennyausmus.com, is operated by BIG Change OPEX Pty Ltd (ABN 87 613 259 251), trading as BIG Change Group, of Melbourne, Australia. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Benny Ausmus and the business.
I take the handling of your personal information seriously and follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), whether or not the Act strictly requires me to.
What I collect, and why
I only collect what you give me, and I only use it for the reason you gave it.
When you fill in a form. Depending on the form, this may be your name, role, organisation, email address, a message, and, if you request a copy of the book, a postal address. I use it to reply to you, post the book, send breakfast invitations, or set up a conversation, and for nothing else.
When you subscribe to Dynamic Skills Digest. Your email address, and your name if you give it. I use it to send the digest. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
When you take the four patterns diagnostic. Your answers to the eight questions, and your email address if you ask for the full read. The diagnostic is a self-report indicator, not a psychometric instrument, and your answers are not shared with anyone. If you ask for the full read, I send one email and add you to the digest only if you tick the box to say so.
When you visit the site. Standard technical information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, collected through analytics tools. This is aggregated and I do not use it to identify you.
I do not collect sensitive information through this website. If you send me something sensitive in a message, I will treat it as confidential and delete it if you ask.
What I do not do
I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
I do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a form. Requesting a book, an invitation or a conversation is not a subscription. You will only receive the digest if you subscribe to it.
I do not use your information for advertising, and this site does not run advertising.
Who else handles it
To run this site and send email, I use a small number of service providers who process information on my behalf:
- The website hosting provider, which stores the site and its form submissions
- Kit, which sends Dynamic Skills Digest and stores subscriber email addresses
- Google Workspace, which handles my email and calendar
- An analytics tool, which collects aggregated visitor statistics
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Each is bound by its own privacy terms and by contract to handle information only for the purpose I have engaged it for.
Client work is a different matter. Developmental assessments and other client engagements are covered by separate agreements with the organisation concerned, not by this policy.
How long I keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as I need them to deal with your request, and deleted within twelve months of the last contact unless we are working together. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe. Diagnostic answers are kept in aggregated form only after the full read has been sent.
How I protect it
Information is stored on systems protected by access controls and encryption in transit. Only I, and any support staff I engage under confidentiality obligations, have access to it. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affected your information I would tell you promptly and explain what happened.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information I hold about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Stop sending you the digest or any other email
Email benny@bennyausmus.com and I will respond within ten business days. If you are not satisfied with how I have handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes that affect how I use information you have already given me will be emailed to you before they take effect.
